Gresham Hotel, Cnr King William Street & North Terrace, 1898

B 2956 Photographer: Ernest Gall. Due to its prominent site, the hotel was an Adelaide landmark. Established in 1851 this photograph shows the hotel after it was rebuilt in 1873/74. It had a large cast-iron verandah with balcony and columns grouped in pairs to emphasise the cut off corner and the principal entrance.
